SINGAPORE PRIME MINISTER VISITING MALAYSIA ON TUESDAY

KUALA LUMPUR, June 21 (Bernama) -- Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien
Loong will make a one-day visit to Malaysia Tuesday.

Wisma Putra (Foreign Ministry) said in a statement here Monday that Lee will
have a four-eye meeting with his counterpart Najib Razak and co-chair the
Delegation Meeting.

Both Prime Ministers will then be holding a joint press conference.

According to Wisma Putra, both leaders are expected to follow up on the
valuation of land and the proposal of the land swap discussed during the
Leaders' Retreat in Singapore on May 23 and 24.

"The visit will further strengthen bilateral relations between the two
countries," said the Foreign Ministry.

Lee will be accompanied by the republic's Foreign Affairs Minister George
Yeo, National Development Minister Mah Bow Tan, Law and Second Minister for Home
Affairs K. Shanmugam and senior officials from various ministries.

Najib will also host a dinner for the visiting delegation.

During the meeting in Singapore last month, Malaysia and Singapore agreed to
resolve several outstanding issues, including the agreement to move the Tanjong
Pagar Railway Station to the Woodlands train checkpoint by July 1 next year
under the enhanced Points of Agreement (PoA).

Both leaders agreed that a Malaysia-Singapore joint company, known as M-S
Pte Ltd, be established before Dec 31 this year to develop the land vacated by
KTMB.

On the water issue, upon the expiry of the 1961 Water Agreement on July 1
next year, Singapore would hand over the Skudai waterworks to the Johor state
water authorities free of charge and in good working order.
