Yemen, WB review reconstruction in Sa'ada
SANA'A, June 21 (Saba) - Yemen and World Bank (WB) reviewed here on Monday the reconstruction process of Sa'ada and Harf Sufyan as
well as sheltering aspects for the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs).
Prime Minister Ali Mujawar and the WB Executive Director Merza H.
Hasan discussed the ongoing work for reconstructing the destructed area as a result
of the rebellion in there and what the assistance the WB can offer in this regard.
They also discussed the current cooperation relations between Yemen and WB and
their future priorities in development and technical support aspects for several
economic
and productive fields.
Mujawar hailed the WB role in supporting the social development programs in Yemen
and the national reforms agenda.
He made reference to the government's current present priorities, saying that they
aim to promote the economic and monetary stability and to overcome the internal and
foreign
challenges that affected the development programs.
For his part, the WB director noted to the existing partnership relations between
Yemen and WB and the mutual keenness to strengthen them to serve the joint
development,
economic and reconstruction objectives.
Hasan also affirmed the WB's continuous support to the development and
infrastructure programs and projects in Yemen in the light of identifying the
related-priorities.
