Irrigation facilities built in Oudomsay
(KPL) A hand-over ceremony of weir construction was held last week in
Oudomsay province to the local authorities of Nga district for use and control.
The weirs are constructed in five communities of Nga district with the total investment of USD 305,498.
The hand-over was attended by the Head of Agriculture and Forestry Service
of Oudomsay province, Mr. Nene Vienvongsith, officials, businessmen and
local people.
The construction project started in February this year, with financial
support from the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and
the Lao government provided 10% of the total cost.
The irrigation work of Houai Liew irrigation has two weirs and Houai Sane
has three weirs.
