PREMIER MEETS SAUDI ARABIAN MINISTER
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The Premier of Mongolia S.Barbold received Tuesday a delegation headed by Mr. Ali Ibrahim Al-Naimi, the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He is officially visiting Mongolia at invitation of this Mongolian counterpart D.Zorigt, the Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy.
At the meeting, the Premier said that one of possibilities of developing Mongolia-Saudi Arabia ties and cooperation is to study and learn Saudi Arabia's rich experience in mineral resources-related extraction, financing and management. "Mongolia considers it as important," he said.
Mr. Ali bin Ibrahim Al-Naimi said he had arrived in Mongolia to seek possibilities of developing cooperation in mineral resources sector, of making investments. Then he conveyed to the Premier a greeting from Saudi Arabia's King.
Mr. Al-Naimi said that a chemical sphere holds a key position in his country's economics. "We cover 10 percent of the world demand in the oil extracting 1.12 million tons of it a day and distributing it to domestic and foreign markets," he said.
He stressed that the key principle of the policy on development of oil and mineral sector for any country is to manufacture value-added products and to supply it to market. He stressed a willingness to cooperate with Mongolia in creating opportunities to involve the Mongolian oil specialists and technical workers in trainings, share experiences, intensify political and business visits and to make investments to Mongolia.
