DEPUTY PREMIER MEETS GTZ'S EXPERT

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The German Technical Cooperation Agency (GTZ) is about to implement the second stage of the program on promotion of regional economics. The Deputy Premier of Mongolia M.Enkhbold and Hanna Bucher, an expert of the GTZ, shared views on this issue during a meeting held Wednesday.
At the meeting, the Deputy Premier expressed his satisfaction with many projects and programs realized by the Federal Republic of Germany (FRG) for Mongolia since the transition into the market economy relations. "The government of Mongolia has been implementing its regional development plan from 2000, but no considerable effect so far. It is important for the sides to predetermine their works for implementing the 2nd stage of the program. In my view, it is necessary to pay a more attention to developing job places and administrative centers," Enkhbold stressed. He emphasized that one of the administrative centers might be chosen to make it a model center of development.
Realization of the program on promotion of regional economics started in 2007. It has three parts--supporting small- and middle-sized production and cooperatives, augmenting financial sufficiency for the small- and middle-sized production, and regional economic policy and business environment.
