CABINET MEETING IN BRIEF


Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ Wednesday's cabinet meeting backed a bill on budget and decided to submit it to the State Great Khural.
The draft law reflects a clause on transferring to localities the powers such as to make decisions independently about repair, to make investments and to announce tenders. It also fixes the budget and its principles, structure and classes, determines rights, obligations and responsibilities of the participants of budgetary relations, and regulates all relations regarding working out, endorsing, registering, reporting and controlling over the budget.
The cabinet discussed and backed in principle a draft amendment to the law on buying products, works and service with money from the state and local capital. It will be submitted to parliament.
A draft amendment to the law on minerals initiated by L.Gundalai MP was rejected.
The cabinet discussed and backed a draft amendment to the national program on security of civil aviation. A related governmental resolution will be issued.
The Minister of Environment and Tourism L.Gansukh introduced a weather forecast from July through August, 2010 to the cabinet members. According to it, weather will be warmer in July and August than of the many-year average. Sudden heat will come for some days. Thus, it might influence badly on the harvest of grain and range plants. Rain will fall equally to a size of many-year average. Heavy rain and thundewrstorm will take place as well. Wind will get stronger some days.
