UNIVERSITY OF MALAYSIA TO HOST HONEYWELL-NOBEL INITIATIVE

KUALA LUMPUR, July 1 (Bernama) -- The University of Malaysia will host the
Honeywell-Nobel Initiative (HNI), said Honeywell, a global leader in diversified
technology and manufacturing.

The two-day HNI from July 20 is designed to connect university students
across the globe with recipients of the world's most prestigious award, the
Nobel Prize.

Every year, HNI hosts a forum for students worldwide to learn from
contemporary Nobel Laureates in physics and chemistry via a combination of
live on-campus and interactive event, said Honeywell in a statement.

The HNI 2010 will feature the 2007 Nobel Laureate in Physics Prof Albert
Fert, one of the pioneers of the digital revolution for the discovery of Giant
Magnetoresistance.

Some 1,000 university students are to attend Fert's lecture at Dewan Tunku
Canselor, University Malaya.
