IMMIGRATION DEPT STOPS ISSUING 1M.101 DOCUMENT FOR TRAVEL TO INDONESIA
KUALA LUMPUR, July 6 (Bernama) -- The Immigration Department has temporarily
stopped the issuance of the 1M.101 collective travel document in lieu of
passport for travel to Indonesia, effective immediately.
Malaysians wishing to visit the republic should now use their international
passports, Putrajaya Immigration Department public relations officer Mohd Sharir
Mohd Sani said today.
"Malaysians are advised to use their passports when visiting Indonesia to
avoid any inconveniences," he said when contacted.
The collective travel document in lieu of passport is issued to Malaysians
for the purpose of group travel, comprising five to 10 people, to Asean
countries, except the Philippines.
The document, costing RM200 (US$62.50), is valid for nine months for a
single journey.
