ASIA LEADERSHIP DIALOGUES TO PROMOTE COLLABORATION BETWEEN PRIVATE &

KUALA LUMPUR, July 8 (Bernama) -- The Asia Leadership Dialogues (ALD) which
took off today will be the start of efforts to form the Malaysia 100, an
initiative to foster collaboration between private and public sector
organisations in Malaysia.

Chairman of Platinum Circle, the organiser of the ALD, Lionel Lee, said
Malaysia 100 is expected to be formed by end of this year.

Platinum Circle is a private business group of global and Asia corporations,
with each corporation having annual revenue exceeding US$100 million.

"Membership of Malaysia 100 will include government-linked companies,
conglomerates and government agencies," Lee said at a media briefing Thursday.

Lee said another Platinum Circle's initiative, Asia 100 which will be
launched this year will connect 100 of the leading organisations in every Asian
market, each with annual revenue exceeding US$100 million.

"Together with our existing community, partners and board, Platinum Circle
is building the world's most connected business group of more than 2,000
organisations, each with annual revenues exceeding US$100 million," Lee said.

"Supported and participated by government leaders in various markets, we are
a platform for the leaders of such corporations and governments to do business
together," he added.

In addition, Lee said, collective resources of corporations and governments
will also be harnessed in doing social good and contributing back to the
markets.

Against this backdrop, Platinum Circle presented the ALD at Kuala Lumpur
Thursday, a regional forum to showcase a selection of leaders from the
private and public sector who are role models from Asia.

This year's leaders will address peers regarding their experiences and
efforts in leading their organisations out of the economic downturn and
challenges and opportunities presented by Asia's recovery.

Platinum Circle, according to Lee, plans to host at least three forums in
Malaysia annually including the 2011 Asia Leadership Dialogues, with agenda
drawn from key issues and topics consulted with the government.

"Ministerial dialogues will also be hosted in Malaysia and around Asia to
bring the leaders of global and Asia corporations interested in building long
term relationships with the Malaysian government," he said.
