SOCIAL NETWORKING MAINSTREAM BUSINESS TOOL IN M'SIA, GLOBAL SURVEY REVEALS
KUALA LUMPUR, July 8 (Bernama) -- Social networking has become a mainstream
business tool in Malaysia, with businesses using social network to clinch new
business dealings, says global workspace solution provider, Regus, in a new
global survey statement.
The survey showed 51 per cent of Malaysia's businesses utilised social
networking platform to win new business, it said.
Over a quarter or 27 per cent businesses worldwide set aside a proportion of
marketing budget to social networking activities, it said in a statement.
The survey findings also showed 41 per cent businesses in Malaysia have
marketing budget devoted to social networking, it said.
Seventy per cent survey respondents said they used social networking to keep
in touch with contacts although only 35 per cent managed to be employed through
social network, it added.
