KENYA WANTS TO LEARN LOW-COST HOUSING CONSTRUCTION FROM MALAYSIA





KUALA LUMPUR, July 8 (Bernama) -- Kenya has expressed interest to learn
about low-cost housing construction from Malaysia.

Housing and Local Government Minister Chor Chee Heung said Thursday this
was expressed by the visiting Kenyan Minister of Nairobi Metropolitan
Development Robinson Njeru Githae.

The ministry recently sent several of its officers to Nairobi to share
knowledge on physical planning pertaining to land, he told reporters after the
Kenyan minister had called on him, here.

Chor said he exchanged views on development, town planning and housing
development with Githae.

Later, the Kenyan delegation attended a briefing given by the Local
Government Department and the Town and Country Planning Department.

The delegation also visited the Federal Territories and Urban Well-being
Ministry and Kuala Lumpur City Hall.
