FM meets European delegation, receives British letter
SANA'A, July 14 (Saba) -
Foreign Minister Abu Bakr al-Qirbi met here on Wednesday with the European
delegation participating
in the 17th session of the Yemeni-European Economic Committee.
Talks in the meeting dealt with the joint cooperation agenda between the two sides
and the role of Yemen Friends Group in supporting Yemen's efforts to achieve an
economic
and developmental growth.
The two sides also discussed strengthening Yemen's service and security capacities,
and the importance of identifying challenges facing Yemen and the contribution to
overcoming
them, as well as the developments of the political process in Yemen and the progress
made in this regard.
Al-Qirbi noted to the European role in pushing forward the democratic process in
Yemen.
On another hand, al-Qirbi met with the Chargé d'affaires of the British embassy to
Yemen Ms. Fiona Jeep, who handed al-Qirbi a letter from Minister of Planning and
International
Cooperation of Britain William Hagee on the meetings of Yemen Friends Group.
