Centre, TN to take steps to end attacks on Indian fisherman

Chennai, July 18 (PTI) Indian Shipping Minister G K Vasan
Sunday said the Centre and the Tamil Nadu government in south
India would make joint efforts to put an end to killing of
fishermen allegedly by the Sri Lankan Navy.
Condemning the "frequent" attacks on Tamil Nadu fishermen
in the high seas, Vasan told reporters that the Centre and the
state government would take firm steps to put an end to it.
He also hoped that a permanent solution would be found to
ensure that such incidents do not recur. PTI SNR
