Yemen, Singapore hold talks on counterterrorism

SANA'A, July 20 (Saba)- Deputy
Minister of Interior for Training Sector Fadhl Abdul-Majeed received on Tuesday the
visiting
Singaporean Head of International Studies Council of Terrorism and Violence Rohan
Konartna, along with the accompanying delegation.
Abdul-Majeed affirmed the depth of the historical relations of Yemen and Singapore,
considering this visit an important event with regard to communication and
coordination.
He pointed out to efforts of the Yemeni security systems which managed to control
crimes at 94% at a time in which crime took a wider circle.
The Singaporean official, for his part, praised efforts of Yemen in containing
those who were part of the extremism discipline, affirming that the dialogue which
Yemen adopted
with those people will be one of the most important issues for the Council during
the coming period.
He showed willingness to send specialized experts in dialogue to benefit from the
previous expertise of the Council.
