"Participation of the people to maintain security is also needed, and therefore they have to immediately report to the nearest security post if they find any indication of a possible security disturbance by irresponsible parties," he added.
As one of the locations of Sail Banda 2010, the Southwest Maluku (MBD) district town of Wonreli in Kisar Island will also be provided with five buses to support the international marine event.
Maluku Transportation Office Chief Benny Gazpersz said the buses would be ferried to Kisar in the first week of August.
Gaspersz said the buses were provided by the Maluku Transportation Office for Kisar Island as part of the upcoming international marine event of Sail Banda 2010 activities.
"Therefore there will be no transportation problem in Kisar for the guests who will participate in the commemoration of Indpendence Day on August 17," Gaspersz said.
