Yemen, Japan discuss security cooperation

SANA'A, July 31 (Saba)- Minister of
Interior Mutahar al-Masri held a meeting on Saturday with the delegation of the
Japanese International
Cooperation Agency (JICA) over the security cooperation between Yemen and Japan
especially in training of the Yemeni coastguards.
They discussed current cooperation between the Yemeni and Japanese security bodies
in field of training, and technical cooperation practically in combating piracy in
Aden
Gulf and Arabian Sea.
The minister valued cooperation between the two countries, appreciating the
Japanese support to the Yemen.
The head of the JICA delegation highlighted notable progress achieved by the Yemeni
coastguard, affirming readiness of the Japanese government to offer further
assistance
to train the Yemeni coastguards.
