HONDA MALAYSIA RECORDS HIGHEST MONTHLY SALES IN JULY, RANKS NO. 1 IN CSI STUDY

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 9 (Bernama) -- Honda Malaysia Monday announced its highest
ever monthly sales at 4,586 units in July.

The company logged in 26,734 units total sales as of July 31, representing 11
per cent growth year-on-year basis.

Honda Malaysia also ranked No. 1 in the 2010 Customer Service Index (CSI) Study
conducted by California-based global marketing information services company,
J.D. Power and Associates.

The CSI Study measures new vehicle owner satisfaction with the after-sales
service by examining dealership performance in five factors: service quality,
vehicle pick-up, service initiation, service advisor and service facility.

CSI performance is reported as an index score based on a 1,000-point scale.

Honda Malaysia tops the ranking among the 10 brands included in the study, with
an overall score of 736, scoring particularly in service initiation, vehicle
pick-up and service quality.

"The demand for Honda products has been increasing on a yearly basis ever since
we started our Malaysian operations in 2001," said Honda Malaysia managing
director and chief executive officer Toru Takahashi in a statement.

"I attribute the success to all authorised Honda dealers and associates who are
the key people in delivering customer satisfaction. Honda Malaysia will continue
to uphold the company’s "Customer Satisfaction No. 1 Policy," he said.

With a network of 58 authorised dealers nationwide, Honda Malaysia offers nine
models in its stable, which include City, Civic, Civic Type R, Civic Hybrid,
Accord, CR-V, Stream, Jazz, Odyssey and Freed, the newly launched premium
compact MPV.

The Honda City remains the best seller, followed by other CKD (completely
knocked-down) models like the Civic, Accord and the face-lifted CR-V.
