Three southern provinces receives environmental grant aid

(KPL) - The National Environmental Protection Fund has given 304 million kip of grant aid to four environmental protection projects in three southern provinces.

The grant aid was signed in Khammouane province last week by Director of National Environmental Protection Fund, Mr. Soukkata Vichit, President of Khammouane Steering Committee for Social and Environment Protection Project, Mr. Khamsy Outhivong in the presence of Deputy Chief of Nakai district, Mr. Viengkham Pheng-Outhai and concerned officials.

The Environment Protection Fund is to focus on strengthening environment protection project, sustainable natural resource management, bio-diversity protection and community assistance in three southern provinces namely Bolikhamsay, Khammouane and Savannakhet.

The fund also went to four projects of strengthening environmentalprotection for young, bamboo forest protection, water resource conservation area, and road safety and road environmental projection. These projects will run in Nakai district, Khammouane province.
