HISHAMMUDDIN AND COUNTERPARTS TO FIGHT CROSS-BORDER CRIME

PUTRAJAYA, Aug 13 (Bernama) -- Home Minister Hishammuddin Hussein will meet his counterparts from other countries to strengthen cooperation in fighting cross-border crime.

As a start, he will meet his Saudi Arabian counterpart, Prince Nayef Abdul
Aziz.

"We are prepared to share and exchange related information and expertise on
terrorist movements and operations for the sake of peace and security in our
respective countries," he said in a statement Friday.

Apart from that, he said, the meeting with Indonesia's representatives was
also being arranged for the same purpose.

"Our good relations with Indonesia's anti-terrorism agencies all this
while has produced significant results. I also plan to visit Indonesia on this
issue in the near future," he added.

Cross-border crime includes human trafficking, smuggling of migrants,
terrorism, money laundering and terrorism financing, drug and arms trafficking
and cyber cime.
