Siberian student wins all-Russia beauty pageant
PETROZAVODSK, July 26 (Itar-Tass) - Sofya Larina, a student from the Kemerovo region in southern Siberia has won the Beauty of Russia pageant.
She received the winner's crown and a Mercedes-Benz car, Tatiana Andreyeva, the chairperson of the Beauty of Russia publicmovement's board told Itar-Tass the 62 girls who took part in this year's pageant represented most of Russian constituent territories.
For the first time in the history of these competitions, the pageantwas held in the northwest region of Karelia and not in Moscow.
Sofya Larina will now represent Russia at the Miss World 2008competition in Ukraine's capital Kiev in October.
