IDB LISTS RM1 BLN SUKUK MEDIUM-TERM NOTE PROGRAMME ON BURSA MALAYSIA
KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 24 (Bernama) -- The Islamic Development Bank today listed
its RM1 billion sukuk medium-term note programme on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives,
marking the first multilateral development bank to list its Ringgit sukuk on the
exchange.
Todate RM400 million sukuk has been issued under the programme which
has a 10-year tenure and is rated AAA by Standard & Poors.
The proceeds from the sukuk will be used for general corporate purposes
relating to IDB's business activities, said Bursa Malaysia and IDB in a joint
statement in conjunction with the listing here today.
However, the sukuk is listed under the exempt regime basis and is not
exchange traded.
Exempt regimes means debit securities or sukuk issued under the programme
that are listed on the exchange will not be quoted or traded on the exchange.
