IPOH (Perak, Malaysia), Aug 25 (Bernama) -- The northern state of Perak
Immigration Department Wednesday detained 65 foreigners at a work site of a
tunnel being build under the double rail tracking project, near Bukit Berapit,
Kuala Kangsar, near here.

Deputy assistant director of Operations Rosli Abu Seman said the foreign workers
did not have valid travel documents while their work permits had expired.

Among those detained were 42 from Bangladesh, 19 from India and two each from
Myanmar and Nepal.

"During the operation which started at 7am, 210 foreign workers were screened,"
he told reporters here Wednesday.

The foreign workers, aged between 24 and 45, would be detained at the Langkap
