MALAYSIAN GOVT HOSPITALS TO INTRODUCE CAR JOCKEYS, DRIVE-THROUGH PHARMACY

ALOR SETAR (Malaysia), Aug 28 (Bernama) -- Malaysian government hospitals
will introduce car jockeys and drive-through pharmacy in efforts to ease parking
woes, said Deputy Health Minister Rosnah Abdul Rashid Shirlin.

She said the system would help overcome parking problems faced by the public
who come to visit patients, seek treatment or get medication.

The drive-through pharmacy for patients to get medication had been
introduced at the Putrajaya Hospital, she told reporters after presenting gifts
to 100 new mothers at the Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital here Saturday.

Rosnah said contractors of new hospitals would be required to provide ample
parking spaces to avoid congestion and haphazard parking at hospitals as they
would cause traffic jams.
