M'SIAN POLICE TO GET SOOSAI'S FINGERPRINTS
KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 2 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian police have not received any
confirmation on the alleged arrest of Malaysian fugitive Michael Soosai in
Chennai last Thursday.
Inspector-General of Police Musa Hassan said if it was confirmed that the
suspect was Soosai, the Malaysian police would assist the Indian police in the
investigations into a murder case in India.
"I have not received any confirmation from the Indian police and I have ordered
our Interpol to get the fingerprints of the suspect from the Indian police to
determine whether he is Michael Soosai," he told reporters here Wednesday.
Soosai, 47, who used several different identities in India, including Dr G.
Karuna Raj, is wanted here for at least 17 cases of criminal breach of trust
involving RM1 million (US$319,335). He skipped bail after faking his death.
He was wanted also in the investigations into the murder of a Malaysian, N.
Subramaniam, in Chennai six years ago.
On Wee Meng Chee of Namewee's video clip which allegedly contained racial slur,
Musa said the case would be referred to the Attorney-General.
