GOVERNMENT ASSURES SAFETY OF INDONESIANS HERE

SEPANG, Sept 3 (Bernama) -- The government has assured the safety of Indonesians
here and those planning to visit Malaysia, said Home Minister Hishammuddin
Hussein.

No reports of violence against Indonesians had been reported since the
anti-Malaysia demonstrations in Jakarta, he said after visiting the Immigration
Department counter at the Low Cost Carrier Terminal (LCCT) here Thursday.

Hishammuddin also presented celebration goodies to the immigration chiefs at KL
International Airport (KLIA), Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport in Subang, KLIA
temporary detention centre in Lenggeng and Machap Umbu.
