Russia suspect arms dealer extradition considered by Bangkok court
HANOI, July 28 (Itar-Tass) - Russian businessman Viktor Bout who is suspected of illegal arms trade on Monday was taken to a Bangkok court where the issue of his extradition to the United States will beconsidered, local media reported.
The 41-year-old businessman was arrested in Thailand on March 6 on request of the US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). The United States accuses him of involvement in terrorist activities (four counts), including illegal trade in weapons, their supplies to the Colombian leftextremist Revolutionary Armed Forces. Bout is facing a life imprisonment.
