Experts to discuss prospects for Internet comm development.

VATUTINKI, Moscow Region, September 7 (Itar-Tass) - The future of
contemporary communications and services on the basis of Internet
Protocols IP is to be discussed by experts at an international conference
which is to be held in the holiday hotel Vatutinki outside Moscow under
the auspices of the Russian Ministry of Telecom and Mass Communications on
Tuesday.
An official at the Communications Ministry has specified that
participants in the conference will touch upon all aspects of the
application of these technologies in the life of society, from
technological to regulatory ones.
The Ministry official said, "Participants in the conference will
discuss the resources of contemporary telecommunication means for reducing
digital inequality, for removing barriers to the access to information
resources and for raising the quality of modern services".
The conference agenda includes items concerning the provision of State
services in electronic form, the development of mobile Internet, the
introduction of media services in the World Wide Web, and Internet
broadcasting.
The conference will be attended by officials of the Communications
Ministry and Rossvyaz (Federal Communications Agency), as well as
executives of large Russian and foreign sectoral companies.
Simultaneously, an exhibition will be arranged to feature the achievements
in the use of IP communications and IP services for raising efficiency and
safety of the organizations' work.
