MALAYSIAN INVESTORS GET PAKISTAN INVITE

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 8 (Bernama) -- Pakistan hopes to attract Malaysian
investors, particularly in the construction sector.

Its High Commissioner to Malaysia, Masood Khalid, said Malaysian investors
would help business growth in Pakistan which was facing a massive flood
disaster.

"From the business point of view, as Pakistan will be engaging in
reconstruction process, this is also the time for Malaysian business community
to be involved," he told reporters after receiving humanitarian assistance from
Malay Chamber of Commerce Malaysia (DPMM) for the flood victims in Pakistan.

He said leading Malaysian construction firms could look at the business
opportunities to help Pakistan to rebuild.

"The economic losses due to the floods are around US$40-US$45 billion," he
said.

The DPMM donated more than RM100,000 (US$32,035) worth of biscuits, mineral
water, blankets, children milk and food, and shoes.
