MALAYSIAN KING RECEIVES 20 AIDILFITRI CAKES AT PRESENTATION CEREMONY

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 9 (Bernama) -- Malaysian King Tuanku Mizan Zainal
Abidin Wednesday received 20 cakes in conjunction with Aidilfitri from various
quarters at a presentation ceremony at the National Palace here.
Among the cakes was a 39kg fruit cake with a mosque theme from the Grand
Dorsett Hotel in Subang Jaya and a 50kg cake with a light concept from the Kuala
Lumpur Convention Centre.

Queen Tuanku Nur Zahirah also attended the presentation,
which is an annual event in conjunction with Aidilfitri.

Other hotels which presented cakes are Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur, Crowne Plaza
Mutiara Kuala Lumpur, Federal Hotel International Group, YTL Hotels &
Properties, Seri Pacific, Istana Kuala Lumpur, Holiday Villa Hotel & Suites
Subang, Palace of the Golden Horses.

Grand Millennium Kuala Lumpur, Hotel Nikko Kuala Lumpur, Hotel Hilton,
Mandarin Oriental, The Westin Kuala Lumpur, Riyaz Heritage Marina Resort & Spa,
Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC), Hotel Berjaya Times Square and Sunway Resort
Hotel & Spa. Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) also presented a cake.

After the event, Tuanku Mizan and Tuanku Nur Zahirah gave "duit raya"
(celebration money) and
souvenirs to the palace officers and staff.
