AIRBUS APPOINTS EMERSON SENIOR VEEP OF PRODUCT STRATEGY AND MARKET FORECAST

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 14 (Bernama) -- Airbus has appointed Chris Emerson senior
vice president of product strategy and market forecast, effective Sept 1, 2010.

In a statement here Tuesday, Airbus said part of Emerson's new role would
involve responsibility for Airbus' global market forecasts.

He will report to Airbus chief strategist and executive vice president for
future programmes, Christian Scherer, it said.

Airbus said Emerson, appointed as chief financial officer of EADS North
America in 2003, supported the establishment of EADS North America as well as
the company's break into the US defence market.

"Emerson will keep this position until year-end and also to remain involved
in the US tanker bid," it said.

Prior to this, Emerson joined DaimlerChrysler Aerospace in Munich, Germany.

A graduate of the University of Alabama with a degree in international
finance, Emerson is also an adviser for the Mobile, Alabama Chamber of Commerce.
