Vientiane monthly meeting discusses on generation sources
(KPL) - A monthly meeting of the executive board of Vientiane CapitalAdministration was held on 25 July to approve a directive of Vientiane Mayor on income generation from local economy.
The meeting evaluated the outstanding works of July and next month's plan. The meeting drew up guidelines on how to generate income from the economic activities of the Talat Sao Shopping Mall, developed from the Morning Market of the capital.
The meeting also approved a directive of Vientiane Mayor on the inspection of foreign labour.
Another issue is the plan to recruit athletes for the 7th National Sport Games to be held in the southernmost province of Champassak but then it was decided that it should be discussed at another monthly meeting. During the meeting the participants have discussed the preparations for the 30th medal award ceremony for outstanding officials, and the celebration on 23 August Day or power seizure.
The meeting also studied a report on the progress of the celebration to mark the 450th anniversary of the founding of Vientiane as the country's capital.
The other topics were the Souphanouvong Road Construction Project, the proposed logo to mark the 450th founding anniversary of Vientiane as the capital, and the Six Action Plan of development.
The meeting was chaired by Dr Sinlavong Khoudphaythoune, Mayor of Vientiane Capital, and the deputy mayors. The other participants were the heads of departments and heads of districts.
