Water Resources Development and Management discussed
(KPL) - A meeting to discuss the management and protection of water resources was held last week in Vientiane.
The meeting was aimed to raise awareness on sustainable water resources use and preservation relating to the process of poverty reduction.
Acting Head of Vientiane Water Resources and Environment Office, Mrs.
Monemany Yoybouakong and her deputy, Mr. Bouaphet Phosay along with relevant officials attended the meeting.
The participants discussed the impacts posed by planting rubber trees to the environment and the livelihood of ethnic people in Houai Namyao and Houai Dam in Namtha district, Laung Namtha province.
The function also discussed recycling waste water drained from a paper factory in the district.
