Interior minister to chair conf in Kazan on road safety matters
KAZAN, July 29 (Itar-Tass) - Russian Minister of the Interior Rashid Nurgaliyev is to hold a conference in the capital of Tatarstan on Tuesday on matters aimed at raising safety on the roads of this country.
Elionora Anikeyeva, head of the Tatarstan branch of the Ministry department of information and public relations, has announced, "Theconference will be attended by the heads of executive power bodies of the Russian Federation's constituent entities in the Volga Federal District.
In accordance with the programme for the visit, the General of the Army will also attend a ceremony marking the commissioning of a 197-apartment building for the personnel of the Kazan police garrison, and tour a video observation center of the Interior Ministry's state road safety inspectorate department for Tatarstan, and a stationary police post Koltso (ring)".
During his two-day stay in Tatarstan, the Russian Minister of theInterior will also meet with Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiyev and Interior Minister Asgat Safarov.
