China hopes for energy partnership with Russia - FM.
BEIJING, July 29 (Itar-Tass) - The launch of an energy dialoguebetween Russia and China means that bilateral cooperation entered a new stage of development, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Liu Jianchao told a news conference on Tuesday.
"Interaction in this area is a strategic choice of the two countries'governments that will serve to stronger cooperation," he said.
Beijing hopes for mutually advantageous and partnership relations in the energy sector, Liu said.
The mechanism for regular consultations was launched last Saturdayduring Russian Vice Premier Igor Sechin's visit to China.
