Yemen eyes Int`l Coffee Organization membership

LONDON, Sep. 20 (Saba)- Deputy
Minister of Agriculture for Production Development Sector Abdul-Malik al-Thawr
discussed on
Monday with the Executive Director of the (ICO) the executive procedures for Yemen
to join the ICO following Yemen approval of the Organization's agreement.
The talks took place on the sidelines of the 105th session of the International
Coffee Organization's Council in London today.
They reviewed fields which Yemen will make use of in case of its inclusion in the
Organization as well as projects to be implemented in cooperation with the ICO with
respect
to information and statistics on coffee production.
The two officials also discussed the possibility of the Organization participation
in Coffee Conference which is scheduled to be held in Sana'a in December.
