SINGAPORE, Sept 21 (Bernama) – Singapore prime minister Lee Hsien Loong Monday

their fathers who were then the prime ministers of their countries as a memento
when they met for their bilateral talks here Monday.
The photograph taken in January 1971, showed Lee Kuan Yew with the late Abdul
Razak Hussein, the second Malaysian prime minister, together with British Prime
Minister Edward Heath and two others on board a British warship, HMS Intrepid.
The junior Lee said he was rummaging his family album recently when he saw the
photograph, and thought of giving a copy to Najib for keep sake at their meeting
Monday.
Speaking at a press conference after their meeting at the Istana, Lee said the
photograph was taken prior to the formation of the Five-Power Defence
Arrangements (FPDA) involving Singapore, Malaysia, the United Kingdom, Australia
and New Zealand.
Lee said the FPDA was formed in April 1971, after the photograph was taken.
