SHEILA`S FANS REGARD POSTPONEMENT OF CONCERT THE BEST OPTION

JAKARTA, Sept 21 (Bernama) -- Although disappointed that Sheila Majid Concert,
scheduled here this Thursday, has to be postponed, most of her fans and the
sponsor regarded the move as the best option in view of the strained relations
between Malaysia and Indonesia.

The producer of the event, Andy Soekasah, of TIS Communications, has postponed
the Malaysian singer's concert to Feb 15 next year with the hope that by then
the situation would have improved.

"It is hoped that it will help restore relations between Malaysia and
Indonesia," he added.

He said the decision to postpone the concert was for security reasons following
the anti-Malaysia demonstrations here recently.

"For Sheila, we can assure her safety, but we are worried that something might
happen among the audience.

"Sheila herself believes that the postponement is for the best of everyone," he
added.

Based on response on Sheila's Facebook and blog, more than 300 of her fans from
Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur and other countries, as well as the sponsors, welcomed the
decision to postpone the concert, which was planned to commemorate her 25th year
in the music industry.

The concert offers 3,418 tickets, but it is learnt that only about 400 have been
sold so far.

It is believed the poor ticket sales is due to safety factor.

For those who have bought the tickets, they would be refunded. The same tickets
will also be valid for use for the Feb 15, 2011 concert.
