By Zakaria Abdul Wahab

SINGAPORE, Sept 21 (Bernama) -- Singapore Changi Airport has won six best
airport awards for its continued excellence within these two months, according
to its operator Changi Airport Group (CAG).

Readers of leading travel publication, Business Traveller (UK), had named Changi
as the "Best Airport in the World" in its "Business Traveller Awards", an
accolade the airport has received every single year since 1988.

Changi Airport was also named "Best Airport in the World" for the sixth time by
Condé Nast Traveller (UK) in its "Reader's Travel Awards 2010", CAG said in a
statement Tuesday.

Readers of the magazine rated Changi most highly in the categories of facilities
and dining, CAG said.

Across the Atlantic Ocean, readers of Condé Nast Traveler (US) chose Changi
Airport as the "Best International Airport" for the seventh time in its "Annual
Business Travel Awards".

The airport topped all the award's sub-categories, including food, shops,
amenities, comfort, design, and ease of connections.

In Asia, readers of Business Traveller Asia-Pacific chose Changi as the "Best
Airport in the World" for the 19th successive year.

Changi Airport also received for the third time the "Best International Airport"
accolade from TravelWeekly China, a major travel trade publication in China, as
part of its "China Travel and Meeting Industry Awards 2010".

In another "2010 Best in Travel Poll" conducted by online travel magazine Smart
Travel Asia, Changi Airport ranked top in the "Top 10 Airports Worldwide"
category, for the third year running.

Lee Seow Hiang, chief executive officer of Changi Airport Group said: "For
Changi Airport Group, the accolades we receive serve as a powerful form of
feedback from our passengers that they do enjoy themselves at Changi Airport and
appreciate what we have been doing here."

Since its opening in 1981, Changi Airport has won more than 350 airport awards.
