UNIVERSITY OF GUELPH HOSTS DINNER FOR MALAYSIAN KING

TORONTO, Sept 22 (Bernama) -- Malaysian King Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin attended
a dinner hosted by the President and Vice-Chancellor of the University of
Guelph, Dr Alastair Summerlee, here Tuesday.

The dinner was held to honour Tuanku Mizan, who arrived here Tuesday evening, as
part of his two-day special task visit to Toronto prior to the four-day visit to
Montreal in conjunction with the Brain Gain programme.

The Brain Gain programme, jointly organised by the Sultan Mizan Royal Foundation
(YDSM), Academy of Sciences Malaysia and the Science, Technology and Innovation
Ministry (Mosti), is aimed at enhancing the network between researchers and
academic staff of Malaysian universities and Canada's McGill University in
Montreal and University of Guelph here.
