IRANIAN LOVERS DETAINED FOR SMUGGLING SYABU IN SANDALS
SHAH ALAM (Malaysia), Sept 25 (Bernama) -- Police detained a pair of Iranian lovers for smuggling syabu at KL International Airport (KLIA), Sepang Thursday night.
State of Selangor narcotics CID chief ACP Nordin Kadir said the love birds were
detained at 10.30pm.
He said the 29 year-old man and 25 year-old woman had just arrived on a flight
from Doha, Oman.
"A check led to discovery of 975g syabu worth RM250,000 hidden in the soles of
sandals worn by the man," he told a press conference here Friday.
Nordin said records show that the man had entered Malaysia twice and the woman
three times, both using social visit passes.
Police on Tueday detained a Thai single mother for smuggling 3.4kg syabu worth
RM850,000 in a secret compartment of a luggage at KLIA. (US!=RM3.06)
