Belgrade medics say 46 people injured during riots
BELGRADE, July 30 (Itar-Tass) - Number of people who sustained bodily damage on Belgrade streets late night Tuesday has increased to 46, officials at the Center for Emergency Medical Aid said shortly after midnight.
A total of 25 injured are policemen.
Most of the people taken to the Center had slight injuries and medics let them go home after giving them first aid, said Goran Vukovic, aspokesman.
Only two persons were told to stay back.
Two of the injured were newsmen - Martinez Forzada reporting forSpanish TV and Beta Milos Dzoroleski who works for the Serbian news agency.
Riots broke out during a meeting of protest against the arrest and forthcoming deportation of the highly popular former political leader ofBosnian Serbs, Dr Radovan Karadzic.
