ISKANDAR INVESTMENT NAMES SYED MOHAMED AS NEW PRESIDENT, CEO

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 8 (Bernama) -- Iskandar Investment Bhd (IIB) has
appointed Syed Mohamed Syed Ibrahim as its new president and chief executive
officer, succeeding Arlida Ariff whose contract ends on Dec 31.

Syed Mohamed's appointment takes effect on Nov 1, said Iskandar Development in a
statement Friday.

Syed Mohamed is currently group director of property and infrastructure of DRB
Hicom Bhd, one of Malaysia's leading corporations in automative manufacturing.
Previously, he served as the chief executive officer of TH Properties Sdn Bhd,
general manager of Sime Darby Land Sdn Bhd and head of corporate planning
division of the southern state of Johor State Economic Development Corporation.

IIB said Syed Mohamed's experience in both state and federal
government-linked companies would serve the company well given its unique nature as
a catalyst developer.
