PULAU WARISAN TO BE NEW TOURIST DESTINATION IN TERENGGANU

KUALA TERENGGANU (Malaysia), Oct 8 (Bernama) -- The east coast state of
Terengganu government is allocating about RM60 million (US$19.298 million) to
develop Pulau Warisan located next to Kampung Cina on the estuary of Sungai
Terengganu, here.

Menteri Besar Ahmad Said said the six-hectare man-made island, developed three
years ago, would be the latest tourist destination in the state.

"The island is not fully completed because we are in the process of
providing various types of lightings to further beautify the area at night. So far,
we have installed two flood lights while another two would be installed very soon.

"All the facilities on the island will be fully ready next year," he said when
met during a visit to the island, here Friday.
