MALAYSIAN KING, QUEEN BID FAREWELL TO HAJ PILGRIMS

KELANA JAYA (Malaysia), Oct 12 (Bernama) -- Malaysian King Tuanku Mizan
Zainal Abidin Monday advised Malaysian pilgrims to adhere to the regulations in
Saudi Arabia during their Haj in the holy land.

He said they should also follow the guidelines issued by the Pilgrims
Management and Fund Board (Tabung Haji).

"I hope you will abide by the regulations of Tabung Haji for your safety and
to facilitate the Haj.

"This is also to maintain the good image of Malaysian pilgrims who have
often been praised by the Saudi Arabian authorities," he said when bidding
farewell to pilgrims at the Haj Complex, here. Also present was the Queen Tuanku
Nur Zahirah.

Later, the 250 pilgrims were taken in buses to the KL International Airport
(KLIA) where they joined the rest of the total 350 pilgrims who are scheduled to
depart for the holy land on the ninth Haj flight.
