MYANMAR MASSEUR CHARGED WITH KILLING COUNTRY MAN

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 15 (Bernama) -- A Myanmar masseur was charged in the
Magistrate's Court here Friday with murdering his countryman last month.

Tomei Zuan, 31, nodded his head after the charge was read before Magistrate
Siti Shakirah Mohtarudin.

However, no plea was recorded.

Tomei is charged with murdering a Myanmar national, only known as Jack, at
No 29-1 Jalan 2A/27A Section 1 Wangsa Maju here between 5am and 7am last Sept
27.

The offence, under Section 302 of the Penal Code, carries the mandatory
death sentence upon conviction.

Deputy public prosecutor Shashitah Mohd Hanifa prosecuted.

The court fixed Dec 15 for mention.
