ADMINISTRATIVE REVIEW ON ANTI-DUMPING DUTIES FOR POLYETHYLENE TEREPTHALATE IMPORTS
KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 18 (Bernama) -- The government is initiating a sunset review
investigation on imports of polyethylene terephthalate from Taiwan, Indonesia,
South Korea and Thailand.
In a statement Monday, the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI)
said the anti-dumping duties on the imports, was imposed on Oct 23, 2005 and the
review was initiated upon request from a domestic producer of the product.
It said the investigation is to determine, if, the termination of the currently
imposed anti-dumping duties on the imports would lead to a continuation or
recurrence of dumping and injury to the domestic industry.
MITI said parties affected by this exercise have been informed about the
initiation.
Other interested parties may also participate in the investigation by submitting
a written request before Oct 28, to the investigating authority.
The Investigation number is SR 01/10 and the request is to be directed to, The
Director, Trade Practices Section, MITI, Level 12, Block 10, Government Offices
Complex, Jalan Duta, 50622 Kuala Lumpur.

Participants are required to submit all questionnaire responses, relevant
information and supporting evidence to MITI by Nov 22.
