KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 26 (Bernama) -- CIMB Islamic Bank, Malaysia's second largest
financial services provider, and Hewlett-Packard (HP) Multimedia Sdn Bhd on
Tuesday signed an agreement formalising an Islamic Term Financing Facility
agreement.
The agreement is to finance the development and construction of HP's Next

CIMB Group Chief Executive Nazir Razak said the financing facility is worth
US$100 million.
"It is to finance the initial phase of the data centre, with an option to extend
to subsequent phases in due course," he added.
Nazir told reporters after the signing ceremony here that the facility is the
largest, CIMB Islamic has extended to a multi-national company, in Malaysia.
The NDGC, to be constructed on a 12.94-hectare (32-acre) site, is part of HP's

of its key operating centres worldwide.
Upon completion in 2016, the campus will stand as one of HP's four global
network centres alongside India, Mexico and Costa Rica.
Commenting on the establishment of the International Islamic Liquidity

the long term growth of Islamic finance.
"I fully support the initiative and congratulate Bank Negara Malaysia
(Malaysia's Central Bank) Governor Dr Zeti Akhtar Aziz in setting up the IILM,"
he added.
