ENT-NAMRATA 2 LST

"I feel, with celebrities in the film, there will be
an impact. When known women share their experiences the reach
is wider and the likelihood of new people joining them is
more," the actress, of Warner Bros 'Americanising Shelley' and
Bollywood's 'Kaante' fame, said.
Through her film, '1 a minute', Namrata intends to
garner support for the underprivileged cancer patients. "I
think the movie will help raise funds, promote awareness and
prevention as well as support survivors," she said.
Portion of profit from each ticket sale will be
donated to the Nargis Dutt Memorial Charitable Trust (NDMCT)
with the aim to raise awareness and funds to support social
causes in India, she added.
The idea to make a film on the disease came to her
after she herself was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2008.
Namrata, who has undergone radical cancer treatments
including chemotherapy, said, "The idea is to live a healthy
life and stick to our own values like having proper food, good
sleep, low stress levels and others. We must not adopt western
culture and trends." PTI
