Obama looking forward to talks with PM

New Delhi, Nov 1 (PTI) President Barack Obama is
looking forward to his talks with Prime Minister Manmohan
Singh where they will discuss ways to strengthen the Indo-US
strategic and global partnership, US Ambassador Timothy Roemer
said Monday.
He said President Obama was keen to renew his "very
intimate ties and friendship" with the Prime Minister during
his three-day visit beginning November 6.
"They look forward to talk about the strategic and
global nature of the partnership and we are very much looking
forward to India and United States working together on some of
the most important issues facing the mankind today," Roemer
told reporters after meeting Home Minister P Chidambaram here.
The ambassador said Obama's visit would be very
important and exciting occasion for both the countries as the
two leaders would talk on a host of issues.
"It is going to be very important and exciting time...
and reflection of shared values, shared benefits and shared
vision of this global partnership," he said.
The ambassador said the President is going to stay
perhaps for the longest time in any country during his
Presidency so far.
"He would be in India probably longer than he would be
in any other country since he became President," he said. PTI
