QANTAS A380 PLANE MAKES EMERGENCY LANDING IN SINGAPORE
SINGAPORE, Nov 4 (Bernama) -- A Qantas Airbus A380 carrying 433 passengers and
26 crew made an emergency landing at Changi Airport here after one of its
engines experienced problems shortly after take off.
The superjumbo, which was on its way to Sydney after a stop-over here from
London, had to turn back after one of the engines experienced problems while
flying over Indonesia's Batam, and landed at 11.45am, reports here said.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
Media reports here said that one of engines had exploded and residents on the
nearby Batam Island reported seeing debris falling from the sky.
